vena puncture a.k.a. puncturing the vein to take out blood

monday was our prac and what an interesting prac it turned out to be...

we first were given a lecture, then the chance to practice on a models/dummies which unfortunately by the time group gamma and delta did the prac; were just bleeding non stop at the slightest pressure.....

then after lunch-hearts started beating faster and butterflies appeared in everyone's stomachs as we walked toward the learning suites eargerly looking at people's veins

to compound things, my group was spilt up..but i silently thanked God that i was going to Alpha with min chiee and sareeta- that prayer of thanks was hovering in doubt when i saw our resident tutor 'the fierce lady who strikes fear in our minds with her questions'

but ya'll know God does work for the best...i was pleasantly surpised that she was nothing like some ppl said she was -in fact she sensed my quaking heart and skillfully guided me as i prepared to puncture min chiee amazingly i got blood though i went alittle 2 horizontal and reverse then go vertically in [min was trying to maintain a brave face though it was painful cuz i

did it slowly and reverse half way thru] but i got blood!!!

then min chiee and sisca tried to get blood from me..and both succeded at first go though blood was a lil 2 thick probably cuz i did'nt drink enuf water..hehe

later as we tried on various ppl...and watched ppl do on each other using vacutainer

tute ended and i managed to persuade my NICE tutor to stay and supervise as we continue practice...but as much as i tried, i couldn't get blood from Ben *_* i tell you Ben was still smiling after i gave up-i'll never try to tease, taunt or insult him anymore after all the damage i did to him.

edited 10 May- couldn't keep the promise....cuz as much as i tease Den, he'll always turn it on the other way and the joke'll be on me....*sigh* must learn from min chiee and ji keon..

definitely need more practise!!

well confidant, i've gotta scram now ......op yes b4 i forget, i promised you a part 2 on my classmates but it'll have to wait cuz things don't seem like what they appear, you think that as a class we're getting closer to each other but some of us are actually are getting more distant..there's a whole lot of upheaval/ turmoil/ change/stress this year in everyone's lives due to:

1. we're the first batch in the new campus [it's not just facilities, also the assignments, lectures]uncertainity and confusion still exists like dust in the air

2. the whole MUMMeds and MUSA issue sapped quite a bit of us...for some it might have even devoured a chunk of their lives

3. the workload...year 2 has a loooooottttt of stuff, try doing 60%-80% of your 3kg textbook in one year and multiply it by at least 5- you might get an idea of what we're facing

4. ppl are changing, discovering new sides to their selves-you think u know them but cuz they're changing u realise that u growing apart

5. social and personal circumstances, most are at the stage where love is no more the stuff of dreams but something that thrills and hurts at the same time, lurking around the corner, or they're eagerly anticipating it's proclaimation of prescence. love or attraction is a subject that is on most people's minds

6. LAN-what with the 5 issues above, those who have to take BM, Malaysian studies and Moral are so not having a good time at all....doesn't help that the lecturers are over-enthusiatic.

i said i was gonna scram and have not yet done it.....so bye for now.
